BTSM supports His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s middle way approach

Bharat-Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) one of the largest Indian Tibet Support Group expressed its wholehearted support to His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s middle way approach for the peaceful resolution of the question of Tibet.

While speaking on the national seminar on “Human Rights violations and terrorism in Himalaya and Tibet” at Constitution Club here in Delhi on October 14, 2004, Shri. Indresh Kumar Patron-BTSM & National Convener of Himalaya Privaar said, “Looking at the present political scenario, the path opted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the most suitable and relevant, as such BTSM extends its full support for the demand of genuine autonomy of Tibet”. Expressing his deep concern he further said that there is still ongoing grave and mass violation of Tibetan people’s fundamental rights inside Tibet. “What china is doing today in Tibet in the name of development is nothing but cultural terrorism” he further said.

The seminar, where more than 250 Indian people were gathered also had a deliberation by eminent personalities like Shri. Mangeran Garg (Former BJP state president and Convener of Dharam Yatra Mahasangh), Kasur Tashi Wangdi (Representative, Bureau of H.H the Dalai Lama, Delhi) Dr. K.C. Agnihotri (National Convener BTSM) and Shri Rakesh Gupta (Director Sadhna T.V. Channel).

India Tibet Coordination Office distributed a set booklet, leaflets and calendar with Indian leader’s statements on Tibet to all the participants.
