Dharamshala, April 7 – To mark the second anniversary of Tulku Tenzin Delek’s arrest and in support of the TYC organized indefinite hunger strike in New York, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress Dharamshala today took out in the street by holding a candle light vigil. A vigil was participated by about 300 Tibetans and its supporters marching towards the main temple.
While addressing the gathering, Takna Jigme Sangpo, the longest serving former Tibetan political prisoner appreciates youth congress consistent efforts in organizing various activities for the Tibetan independence struggle.
He also strongly expressed that the various political activities undertaken in exile helps in securing and releasing the Tibetan political prisoners.
Tenzin Samphel, Vice President of TYC also addressed the gathering on the ongoing indefinite hunger strike in New York.
