Sarkis Assadourian, Canadian MP of Armenian origin supports Tibet China negotiations campaign
Montreal, QUEBEC, CANADA March 4 – Mr. Sarkis Assadourian, MP for Brampton Centre, Ontario has joined 132 other MPs and has signed the letter addressed to the Prime Minister of Canada in support of Tibet-China negotiations.
“This gesture of support for the Tibetan people is truly remarkable and we thank Mr. Assadourian for his understanding, compassion and solidarity”, says Mr. Azad Shishmanian, member of the Ad Hoc Armenian Committee in Support of the Tibet China Negotiations, “we have worked hard to achieve this objective and we thank all of those who continue to support us. His Holiness the Dalai Lama deserves the support of all nations in his quest for a peaceful and just resolution of the Tibetan question; Armenians should show solidarity with the Tibetan cause because it is an important international human rights issue”.
