February 13 – The Sounds of sacred chant led by the nuns of Dolmaling nunnery rant the air of quiet Dauladhar valley as the freedom marchers welcome another dawn of their mission. The nuns (disciple of Tulku Tenzin Delek) comprise the contingent that joined the freedom march to seek the release of various prominent lamas and other Tibetan compatriots languishing in brutish Chinese gulag.
The 80 odd participants of the march, inspite of the ruthless beating by the local Indian police march ahead strong and undaunted. The group left Daulatpur early morning at 6 am and kept a steady pace over a distance of 25 km at a stretch in cool six hours. A lunch was then served by the advance team comprising a hot dal-baat, topped with Chatne and boil egg. The march resumed after an hour with equal gusto and fervour to be halted for a day at Dehra, a small picturistique hilly town.
On their arrival there, a reception team head by Shri Surender Sood and Shri Sushil Sharma, executive members of RSS chapters greeted the marchers at the Central town with garlands and ceremonial tikka. Later the marchers offered respect to the statue of local martyrs followed by a public address by TYC Joint Secretary Dolma Choephel. A night camp was installed at the municipal ground at the conclusion of the function.
