The Central Tibetan Administration while welcoming all efforts to educate the common people about the Buddha Dharma (religion), wishes to state that it has no involvement in the proposed “International University of Buddhist Studies”, an initiative of Swami Buddhanand.

According to a report filed from Shimla by Archana Phull published in the Hindustan Times (India) on 21 September 2003, Swami Buddhanand claimed that the Central Tibetan Administration was “pleased”with his project and offered assistance. The Central Tibetan Administration wishes to state that since we were not informed about the project there were no grounds for any reaction from our side.
