October 22, 2003, at 9:30 PM just before the arrival of Chinese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and his delegations at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. About 25 members of TYC tried to block his motorcade and shouted strong slogans in front of the Hotel Taj Palace. The demonstration drew immense attention of the officials from Chinese embassy present and other guests staying in hotel. Soon after a few police personnel was joined by over 100 policemen to stop the ongoing demonstration that lasted for more than 20 minutes. 15 members (9 male / 6 female) were arrested and detained at the nearby Chanakyapuri police station.
The visiting delegations would have two days hectic meeting with his counterpart on border issue from October 23. TYC will organize series of demonstration to strongly condemn the talks on border issue. It was reported that delegations would leave New Delhi on 25th October possibly to Chennai.
