Norbu studied photography in Kolkatta in the nineties, and worked freelance for some years in Delhi before moving to Dharamshala where he started off as senior photo editor for Phayul.com, and built the archive of phayul’s image database. Norbu’s style is simple, he says. “It’s not just point and shoot, or to get a zoomed in closeup of your subject. It is a lot more, everybody in your frame is a subject of your camera and it adds to the story. So I try to get the reaction and action both in the same frame.”
