TYC to provide social service during Kalachakra 2017

DHARAMSHALA, November 18: The Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) today announced that the organization is all geared for yet another Kalachakra with over 200 volunteers for assistance to devotees during the largest gathering.

The largest pro-independence group in exile in their statement said that the volunteers would render their service from December 23 to January 17 and that they would be divided into nine sections to look after various sections from security to assistance for the old age, destitute, sick and new arrivals.

“We are estimating large number of Tibetans from Tibet to arrive in Gaya. Hence we have specifically allotted 30 volunteers to assist them throughout the initiation and also while visiting nearby pilgrim sites,” said Tamding Hrichoe, Vice President of TYC during the press conference at TYC Head Office.

TYC volunteers will be posted at Gaya Railway Station through out the day 24×7 to help people coming from all over the world. TYC also said that they would arrange service at other junctions if need be.

TYC President Tenzing Jigme would be leaving for Bodh Gaya next week to meet with local Indian officials to seeking assistance with various services during the Kalachakra.
