DHARAMSHALA, January 21: The doctors at Mayo Clinic in Rochester where His Holiness the Dalai Lama is currently undergoing prostate treatment on Wednesday said that there were no major concerns and that the Tibetan leader will make a full recovery after the treatment.
“His physicians report no major concerns, and anticipate he will respond well to treatment and make a full recovery,” a Mayo spokeswoman said in a statement.
According to doctors, the 80-year old Tibetan leader is receiving treatment for a common prostate condition.
“He is being treated for a prostate condition that is common for men of his age,” the spokeswoman said.
The Dalai Lama left Dharamshala for the US on January 19 and will be returning to his regular engagement schedule in March after a month’s rest.
In September 2015, His Holiness cancelled his entire US trip on the advice of his doctors at the clinic, who advised him to rest for several weeks after a medical checkup.
