DHARAMSHALA, September 16: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left for Brazil after giving religious discourses in the capital city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Wednesday.
The Tibetan spiritual leader, on his third visit to Argentina, gave a talk on “Finding Happiness in the Troubled Times” at the Luna Park Stadium in the morning. Around 6,500 people from across the continent attended the public talk.
Later in the day, His Holiness gave a talk on mind training based on the “Seven Point Mind Training” composed by Geshe Chaykawa at the same venue.
In an interview with one of the country’s leading talk show hosts, Susana Gimenez, the Nobel Peace laureate spoke on various issues relating to ethics and morality in the society.
The show watched by millions across the continent also touched upon the issue of reincarnation in Tibetan Buddhism.
Leaving Argentina, His Holiness arrived in Brazil’s largest city, Sao Paolo today and addressed a conclave of Brazilian business and industrial leaders at the World Trade Center theater.
The Dalai Lama encouraged the Brazilian businessmen to undertake sustainable development models saying that “industrial and business leaders must be visionary.”
“The privileged people, particularly the business leaders, should shoulder more responsibility to help the poor by investing in the fields of education, health and other social sectors,” said the Dalai Lama.
