Dharamsala, Feb 15: Prime Minister of Tibet’s government in exile Prof Samdhong Rinpoche left Dharamsala Monday for a five-day visit to Europe.
During the trip, Rinpoche will visit Germany and Switzerland from February 16 to 20, a post on the official website of the Tibetan government said.
In Germany, the Tibetan prime minister, whose office term will come to an end later this year, is scheduled to meet “officials of the governmental and non-governmental organisations” in Berlin from 17-18 February.
Rinpoche earlier visited Germany in August last year when he was invited as a “special guest” of the country’s Hasse State government to attend the farewell reception for the outgoing State Premier Mr. Roland Koch, a long time friend of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and supporter of Tibetan cause.
From February 19 to 20, Rinpoche will be in Switzerland where he will address the Swiss-Tibetan Friendship Association’s general meeting and members of the Tibetan community in Zurich
He will return to Dharamsala on 22 February.
