Alberta’s Tibetan community is looking forward to Wednesday’s visit by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
The spiritual leader is set to speak at the Saddledome as part of the University of Calgary’s NOW conference.
President of the Tibetan Community of Alberta Tashi Phunstok tells 660News, everyone is eagerly awaiting the visit.
He says words can not describe the overwhelming happy moment that is coming.
The Dalai Lama will also be white-hatted on Wednesday, in a private, closed door ceremony with Mayor Bronconnier.
It is his first visit to Calgary in 30 years.
