Dharamshala Jan 2: Former president of India A P J Abdul Kalam arrived at Gagal airport this afternoon on a two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh, reported Punjab News Online.
This is Kalam’s second visit to the State following his December 2004 tour as President.
The Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, personally received the former Indian President at the Gagal airport from where they headed for the former’s residence this afternoon.
Next on the agenda will be Hamirpur, where he will take part in the convocation of the National Institute of Information Technology on Saturday morning.
Kalam will interact with students from the NIIT this evening and with school children on tomorrow morning.
