Tibet supporters and Tibetans demand better human rights situation in Tibet

Mysore, December 10: World Human Rights Day was observed here today by the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society –Mysore (ITFSM) to demand improved human rights situation in Tibet. Over 500 students, Members of Tibetan Women’s Association and Senior citizen of Mysore participated in it.

A huge rally was being organized which proceeded through the heart of the city. The delegation comprising of Tibetan Women’s Association and Tibetan Senior citizen proceeded to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of the District and handed over a memorandum highlighting following Demands:

1. Stop Human Rights Violations in Tibet,

2. China should immediately stop killing innocent Tibetans in Tibet,

3. China should allow Tibetans to live a peaceful life according to their Tradition and culture,

4. The world community should support Tibetan Cause

5. Disclose the whereabouts of the young 11th Panchen Lama, kept unknown by the Chinese authorities since 1995,

6. Tibetans in Tibet should be allowed to freely practice their religion without the Chinese Communist authority’s control

7. Ask China to hold talk with the Dalai Lama under the auspices of U N

8. Democratic people around the world are with Tibet

9. Freedom is the birth Right of all Tibetans,

10. Free all the Tibetan political prisoners sentenced for legitimate reasons

The rally was flagged off by Group Captain. H. Rajagopal, President, of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Society – Mysore.
