Dharamsala: June 21: A Tibetan version website of Tibetan Centre For Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) is now available online at www.tchrd.org/tibetan.
The new website contains centre’s regular Tibetan version publications, which include press releases, annual and topical reports, biographies of former political prisoners and monthly Human Rights Updates. The website also includes photo galleries of former and present Tibetan political prisoners.
According to TCHRD, the Tibetan website is started with “the sole aim of disseminating information on human rights and democracy to the larger Tibetan and foreigner audiences who can read Tibetan satisfactorily”.
From the website, visitors can easily download all the publications of the TCHRD, including its monthly newsletter and annual report free of charge.
Centre is also planning to come out with websites in Chinese and other languages in the near future.
The centre works with the mission to promote and protect human rights of the Tibetan people in Tibet and to educate the exile Tibetan community on human rights principles and democratic concepts.
