Belgium: Dr. Mahesh Yadav, founder convener, Mahatma Gandhi Tibet Freedom Movement (MGTFM), to intensify his “BLOOD APPEAL CAMPAIGN” worldwide dedicated to strengthen the Tibetan freedom movement is undergoing a 12-day hunger strike.

Through this 12 days stayagrah (clinching on to the truth) campaign, Dr Yadav is appealing world community to come into action for the freedom of Tibet, which he says can save the world from the imminent endangerment in the long run.

In his month-long European tour, Dr Yadav has initiated the ongoing hunger strike from Belgium beginning 17 May, which marked the 12th year since the Chinese authorities abducted the 11th Panchen Lama, Gendhun Choekyi Nyima under their captivity depriving him of traditional Buddhist studies and his religious role.

Before undertaking his European campaign, Dr Yadav, along with Ajay Jain (the Working President), Sukhwinder Singh (general secretary), Sarita Chamolie and Tsamcho Dolma, had proposed a 5-point memorandum from New Delhi concerning; Sustenance of Human Rights of Tibetans, Immediate release of the Panchen Lama, Non participation of India in the 2008 Olympics, Effect of deteriorating Environmental conditions of Tibet on India, and Pressurising China to stop aiding Pakistan for terrorism and terrorism overall.

Dr Yadav was initially in Belgium to attend the Fifth International Conference of Tibet Support Groups held earlier this month (11-14 May) in Brussels.

Dr Yadav, along with his associate Ajay Jain, is continually going on with this blood movement for Tibet’s cause since 1996. According to Ajay Jain, they were deeply moved by the Gandhian way of truth, non violent and peaceful struggle of His Holiness the Dalai lama to resolve the issue of Tibet.

Under the banner “BLOOD APPEAL CAMPAIGN FOR TIBET’S FREEDOM”, Dr Yadav is now committed to visit 100 countries to generate a massive worldwide support for the cause of Tibet.

From Belgium Dr Yadav will go to Holland, Germany and France before moving in to other European countries.
