Brussels May 21: Around 100 Tibetans of the Tibetan Community in Belgium and Belgian Friends of Tibet gathered this afternoon near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to show their reaction to the cancelled visit of His Holiness in Belgium.
Earlier this month, the exiled Tibetan leader, the Dalai Lama had to cancel his scheduled visit to the country towards the last moment after the Belgian government reportedly expressed inconveniences, which many critics believe is the result of diplomatic pressure from China.
A delegation consisting 3 persons, representing ICT (International Campaign for Tibet), Tibetan Community Belgium and Tibet Support Group, Belgium got opportunity to meet two representatives of the Foreign Affairs Office.
After the meeting, the Tibetan side noted that the meeting proved very instructive for both sides.
