After staging a dramatic protest at the Chinese Embassy by two Tibetan activists in New Delhi on April 09, 2007 and who were subsequently taken to Tihar jail, demanding the release of the PANCHEN LAMA whose whereabouts are unknown.
On 15th April, 2007 Dr. Mahesh Yadav-Convenor, Mr. Lobsanng Tashi Shastri, Mr. Sukhvinder Sigh, member “ Mahatma Gandhi Tibet Freedom Movement’ and some Tibetan volunteer begin their peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar – New Delhi for the immediate release of PANCHEN LAMA, the world youngest political prisoner. The peaceful protest will conclude on 25th April 2007,the 18th birthday of His Eminence The 11th PANCHEN LAMA. The second highest spiritual figure in Tibet’s Buddhist hierarchy.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama recognisese Gendun Chekyi Nyima as the reincarnation of previous Panchen Lama on 14 May 1995, who died under mysterious circumstance. He was years old and hree days later i.e. on 17th May, 1995, The Red Chinese took the young Panchen Lama into “ CUSTODY” along with his family.
Since his 1995 kidnap, China has refused to allow Governments and United Nations mechanisms access to the Panchen Lama, claiming that his parents requested he not be disturbed. On this 18th birthday, however, he will no longer be considered a child under Chinese or international law. He should presumably have the right to speak on his own behalf.
On 23rd April, 2007 Dr. Mahesh Yadav and members of “ Mahatma Gandhi Tibet Freedom Movement” staged protest in Bhopal against the Chinese detention of His Holiness the 11th Panchen Lama for the last 12 years. They painted black the pictures of Chinese president Hu Jintao, to signify the Chinese policy as the Stigma on humanity in the World history. They raised slogans as “Release Panchen Lama” and “Free Tibet”. Also urging the intervention of UN and respective Humanitarian Organisations for the immediate release of His Holiness the Panchen Lama. After the protest Dr. Mahesh leaves for Delhi to join the ongoing Dharna (Satyagraha) held for the past 10 days in Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. Dr. Mahesh Yadav will make a portrait of His Holiness the Panchen Lama with his own blood for the long life of him as a birthday wish at 11 am Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.
