Subsequently, Mr. Dhondup Dorjee, Information Secretary of TYC on behalf of Central Executive Committee addressed the masses on the purpose, significance and relavance for the Tibetans to express our disapproval and condemn the ongoing Border talks between India and China. D.Dorjee said “Neither the Chinese Government nor the Indian Government has any legitimate and moral rights to discuss the territorial boundaries of Tibet.
Any aggreements between the two Asian giants by not respecting the historical facts and aspirations of the six million Tibetans may perhaps achieve them a short term gain but will surely lack legitimacy and will have long term loss and impact”.
Later on, The Information Secretary of TYC was escorted by Police Officials of Parlaiment Street Police Station, to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to submit a Memorandum to the Indian Prime Minister Shri. Manmohan Singh.
For a lasting solution of the disputes and to ensure lasting peace and development in Asia, restoration of an INDEPENDENT TIBET as a historical buffer state is, but inevitable and imminent.
