Dr.Mahesh Yadav,Blood Campaigner for Tibet and the founder convenor for Mahatma Gandhi Free Tibet Movement started his blood movement campaign with 47 hours hunger strike on 10 December, 2006 at Gandhi Kuti, Sewagram -Wardha and concluded at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 16 March, 2007.
He was on a nationwide campaign to spread the Tibet issue among the Indian people. With his unique and self sacrificing campaign by drawing portraits of Indian freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and sending appeal letters to world leaders with his own blood for the past 11 years Dr.Mahesh Yadav had garnered widespread support among the Indian populace and now has a considerable followers among the young Indians and Tibetans as well.
Dr. Mahesh Yadav has been organising blood campaign and Satyagrah for Tibet Freedom (Save Tibet – Save India, Save Tibet – Save Humanity). Since then he has travelled to various parts of Indian cities in different states: In Maharashtra ( Wardha, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Amravati, Yeotmal,
Akola, Naded, Nathur, Sholapur, Kolapur, Patanpur, Nasik, Sirdhi, Sirnapur, Mumbai and Pune) In Karnataka ( Bangalore, Hunsur, Mysore, Bylakuppe, Mangalore and Madekeri), In Goa (Basco and Kalinkot) In Tamil Nadu ( Rameshwaram, Madurai, Ooty, Kanyakumari) In Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Devas, Sagar and Jabalpur) In Chattisgarh : Bilaspur, In Uttar Pradesh (Sarnath,Varanasi, Allahbad, Lucknow ) In Uttranchal ( Lal Kuan, Nainital and Deradun) In Rajasthan ( Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur) Gujarat ( Baroda and Gandhinagar) Orissa ( Chandragiri and Bhubeshneshwar) West Bengal ( Kolkatta, Siliguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong ) Sikkim – Gangtok, Punjab- Chandigarh, Haryana – Panchkula, Himachal Pradesh – Dharamsala, Shimla and New Delhi.
In all the region he has received mass support from all regional as well as Indian National Media and International media including Tibetan media, Tibetan sweater sellers, regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Friends of Tibet and other Indian Tibet Support Groups.
In New Delhi he has written a petition with his blood to the Prime Minister of India – Dr. Man Mohan Singh urging him to take up the Tibet issue with his Chinese counterparts, facilitate unconditional dialogue with His Holiness The Dalai Lama for resolving Tibetan issue, to invite H.H The Dalai Lama to address the joint session of parliament and make Tibet a Zone of Peace ( Like Vatican City). He also wrote an appeal letter to Chinese Ambassador in India – Mr. Sun Yuxi urging him to resolve Tibet issue immediately. While concluding his blood campaign he says he will fight for Tibetan cause till Tibet issue is resolved.
