Mega Concert In Delhi

Sonam Entertainment Production Mega Concert, a nite of traditional and contemporary Tibetan songs and Musical concert at Tibetan Day School, New Aruna Nagar on the very first day of the Losar is an effort to save & support financially for its ongoing court case for the demolition of New Aruna Nagar, which is home for thousands of homeless refugees.

The Tibetan Refugee settlement’s in Majnu Ka Tilla and Bela Road is one of the major outcomes of this initiative by the Indian Govt. The Humanitarian & generous role played by the Indian Govt. had been widely appreciated by the Tibetan in exile & also the International community.

The concert highlights the revival of The Yak Band from Kalimpong and other 10 young artists on creating awareness among the Tibetans about the importances of preserving our own traditions through music. And music being a universal language, this modern concert more specifically aims at spreading the message of peace and love for Tibetans inside Tibet and its struggle for freedom from China.

The event started with big fire cracker and witness by around 1500 audience. The revival of the Yak Band, which left the audience remain enthralled by its best of its numbers. A tantalising mix of Tibetan, Nepalese & English. Followed by Choden La Dekar, Pemsi (Ama Jetsun Pema) Reva, Thokmey, Lobsand Lhamo, Kharak Penpa , Silnon (Tashi Delek), Nyimdol, Sonam Dhondup, Kheno, Chodak/Jigmo, M.T. Tashi (young Artist) on public demand.

After successful event in Delhi. the group has left for there second show in Dharamsala on 21st of February.

Peoples are encouraged to join this day and help Tibetans to reach their voice to as many people as one can and spread the dismal story of Tibet Musics.

Keeping in view of the good response from the peoples in Delhi. Organiser is looking forward to have more concerts in Delhi in the coming future.
