Lamas in the Tibetan tradition will be invited from all islands to officiate. In keeping with Tibetan cultural and tradition, the community is invited to bring their most valued and treasured possessions as a gift of offering to be placed inside the Stupa. The two-day service will include traditional Tibetan ritual prayers, teachings, preparation of the offerings and individual placement of the offering items inside the upper section of the stupa. Suggested gift offerings for the purpose of this ceremony should be sacred and holy items, precious and semi-precious jewels and stones, gold, silver and other valuable metals.

During the ceremony, each participant will place their most appreciated riches inside the dome shaped portion of the stupa, called the bumpa (vase) and may do so with a specific heart-felt intention in mind such as the wish for world peace, prayers for family and friends and the hope that all beings will be healthy and happy. The ceremonies begin on Saturday, January 26 and will continue with the actual offering ceremony on Sunday, January 27.
