Friends of Tibet India (Aligarh Muslim University Chapter) held awareness campaign over Tibet

Friends of Tibet (Aligarh Muslim University) Chapter carried out a huge awareness campaign in the campus on 20 Nov 2006, the day on which Arunachal Pradesh. Instead of withdrawing from Aksai Chin region and Tibet, Chinese assertion on Indian territory confirms the imperialist nature of Chinese communist state.

Chinese President’s declared objective of visiting India is to strengthen trade relations with our country, but instead of indulging into trade negotiations Chinese are trying to trade over Indian Territory.

The compromising attitude with which The Government of India is receiving Chinese President and the way Indian Police is harassing Tibetan Refugees is shamel. The confinement of Tenzin Tsundue, General Secretory of Friends of Tibet India, with in the territory of Dharamsala town in Himanchal Pradesh , so as to prevent him to make his peaceful protest against Chinese atrocities on Tibetans living inside Tibet Autonomous Region, illustrates and highlights the growing insensitivity of Government of India towards the plight of Tibetan Refugees.

To make people of India aware about all these developments and issues, Friends of Tibet Aligarh is running a Nationwide SMS campaign , which says ” CHINA ! STOP TRADING INDIAN TERRITORY, END ILLEGAL OCCUPATION OF TIBET”.

Apart from this SMS Campaign, FRIEND OF TIBET INDIA (ALIGARH MUSLIM UNIVERSITY CHAPTER conducted an awareness campaign in AMU on 20 Nov and posted Posters and stickers urging china to end the illegal occupation of Tibet. A compilation of articles and a copy of Tenzin Tsundue’s letter was circulated in various Faculties and departmental libraries in AMU.Volunteers of Friends Of Tibet India, Aligarh Muslim University Chapter circulated folders, articles and poster in the university and highlighted the agony of Tibetan people.
