A very depressing and gloomy moment struck the Tibetans who have just arrived in New Delhi this morning to protest Chinese President Hu Jintao’s State visit. After a day full of protests and demonstrations at Jantar Mantar today, Tibetans were asked to leave Bapu Dham, a place near Moti Bagh.
Some senior officials of Indian government ordered the Tibetans to vacate the place considering it as a high security zone and declared that the place will remain sealed for few days.
According to our news source, few Indian police even abducted the licences, vehicle documents and keys from the drivers of the vehicles in which Tibetans made their journey from Dharamsala last night.
After an hour long discussion with the Indian Officials, there was no sign of a positive outcome. Tibetans had to vacate the place and now they are being headed towards Majnu-ka-Tilla, a Tibetan refugee settlement in Delhi. DCP North himself will be escorting the Tibetans till Jantar Mantar tomorrow.
Showing his constant support, Arunachal Pradesh’s Member of Parliament, Shri Khiren Rijiju said that he will definitely be there with the Tibetans tomorrow if any kind of incidences from the Indian officials hampers the Tibetan’s protest.
