Dharamshala – The Tibet Museum of the Department of Information and International Relations will be hosting a contemporary art exhibition from 13 to 22 October 2006.
Deputy speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile, Dolma Gyari, is the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The upcoming exhibition “East Meets West” is organised by Tashi Norbu, a Tibetan painter. He plans to bring some fascinating collection of his paintings through this exhibition. He has been exhibiting his paintings in Belgium and had organised exhibitions around the world.
A documentary film “Closer than Tibet”, a film by Ron Chiers depicting the life story of a Tibetan painter who migrated to Europe, will be screened in the evening of 13 October.
