7 Days On TIBET in Milano was inaugurated here today in Milan’s Humanitarian Hall and will last till 21st of September. It is organized by the Milan’s Humanitarian Society together with the Italia-Tibet Association and is done collaboration with the Students for a Free Tibet-Italy.
The guests and visitors were offered traditional Tibetan khabse, a sweet fried-biscuits and Tibetan butter tea. The speakers included Mr. Piero verni,a journalist, and Mr Claudio Cardelli, vice-president, Mrs Vicky sevegnani, key adviser, Mr Fausto sporacino, also a key advisor from Italia Tibet Association.
The event started with an introduction by the coordinator Mr. Roberto of Humanitarian Society followed a brief speech by Mr. Chomphel Gelek, the president of Students for a Free Tibet-Italy. The invited speakers touched on various aspect of Tibet and its culture to visitors in the hall who gathered in large number despite the continuous torrential rains.
A slideshow of images of Tibetan way of life and customs and landscape were shown. This was produced and project by the talented photographer Mr Fausto sporacino who has collected them during many year of travel to Tibet. Mr. Chomphel Gelek took the opportunity and thanked all the visitors, organizers and the speakers by offering them the Tibetan traditional khatas or scarves.
