New Delhi, September 1 – The Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education will hold a Dialogue in Vancouver, Canada, from 8th to 10th September where His Holiness will interact with the audiences ranging from students to intelectuals. The Event will begin with the inauguration ceremony of the Centre by His Holiness and a keynote address.
Considering His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the epitome of Peace and Compassion, the centre is holding this unique round of sessions and providing opportunities to join with him on issues regarding human responsibility and Approach to world peace.
The dialogues will start of with the students and education researchers on Educating the Heart at the Orpheum on 8th September where His Holiness will address the audience about cultivating compassion.
The next day will follow the Dialogues with the Scientists on Mental Well-Being and Happiness with discussions on topic of enhancing authentic happiness and physical well-being. Later in the afternoon at GM Place, His Holiness will present a public talk on “Cultivating hapiness”. He will speak about the ultimate source of being happy and impart more guidances on developing a sense of universal responsibility and deep concern for all beings.
On September 10, the Dalai Lama will engage in dialogue with the leaders which is by invitation.
With the active support of the Dalai Lama, the Vancouver-based Centre was founded in 2005 with no religious or political affiliation. The Centre dedicates itself to foster and support “education of the heart” and teachings on kindness, compassion and interconnectedness through the three pillars of research, education and dialogue.
The centre is scheduled for completion in 2009.
