The Italy chapter of Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) will hold its founding anniversary bash at Cafe Diana in Milan on June 24. Numerous programmes are being planned for the gathering which will also see the presence of Mrs. Jetsun Pema la, president of the Tibetan Children’s Village schools and Kasur Tempa Tsering la, Representative of H.H. the Dalai Lama in New Delhi .
SFT National coordinator in Italy, Mr. Chomphel Gelek said Mrs. Jestun Pema la has graciously accepted, after repeated requests, to attend the programme. Mrs. Pema la is also expected to attend a meeting cum discussion with the Tibetans living in Italy on the morning of June 25 at Corona restaurant.
To celebrate the birthday of H.H. the Dalai Lama on July 6, SFT Italy will participate in the upcoming Trungkar Basket and Football tournament” in Switzerland from July 6 to 10.
