Dharamshala – After successfully concluding his visit to South American countries and Austria, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will return to India today.
During his three-week stay in South American countries, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave teachings, public talks, participated in Inter-Religious meetings and dialogues on health and spirituality.
His Holiness started his extended visit on 26 April and the last leg of his South American visit took him to Colombia and departed from there on 12 May to Austria.
Yesterday His Holiness the Dalai Lama took part in a ceremony to lay the foundation stone of the Tibet Centre in Hutternberg, Carinthia, Austria. His Holiness also addressed the ceremony.
According to the press release of the Tibet Bureau, Geneva, the Tibet Centre Huttenberg comprises of two projects: the International Centre for Higher Tibetan Studies and the Tibetan Health Centre.
Following that ceremony, His Holiness visited the grave of Prof. Heinrich Harrer, author of the Seven Years in Tibet and His Holiness’ English teacher in Tibet.
