Dharamshala December 30 – A new year song in Tibetan language will be one of the fifty new year songs to be telecast in a Swiss television channel today. Corin Curshellas, a famous Swiss folk and jazz singer and her German friend Özy fecht based in Berlin came up with the idea of composing a new year song which could be sung across the world in fifty different languages.
The new year song in Tibetan was sung by Switzerland based Tibetan Nangma singer Loten Namling.
The song was recorded in a studio of a Swiss television channel and will be broadcast today on “10 vor 10” evening news. The song will also be placed on the web at www.corin.ch/works/happynewyearsong.html
Fifty different singers from across the world have lent their voice to the project.
