New Delhi, 10 December 2005 : India-Tibet Friendship Society expresses its anguish on the arrest of the members of Tibetan Youth Congress while peacefully protesting against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. There is continuous Human rights violation, environmental destruction and Population transfer in Tibet by People’s Republic of China and it is natural that the freedom fighters of Tibet must protest.
While the world is celebrating International Human Rights Day, the Tibetans are worst sufferers of Human rights violation for last five decades. Despite consistent efforts of His Holiness The Dalai Lama and his representatives to begin an unconditional negotiation with Chinese leadership, the gesture of Chinese leaders is still not conducive for it.
India-Tibet Friendship Society urges Dr Manmohan Singh ( The Prime Minister of India) to take initiative for release of the members of Tibetan Youth congress. In this regard memorandum has already submitted.
