Tibetan Members of Parliament in exile to visit London, UK

Eleven Members of the Tibetan Parliament-in-exile, based in Dharamsala will arrive in London on 23 October on their last leg of their European tour to study autonomy governments in South Tyrol and Scotland. This tour to Europe is the largest ever visit outside India by Tibetan
parliamentarians.

During the two days stay in London, the Tibetan parliamentarians will be the guests of the UK All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet. Their programmes will include visiting the Houses of Parliament, the mother of parliament and the seat of British democracy, meeting with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee as well as other members of the various Select Committees.

The Tibetan parliamentarians will travel to Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland on 26 October
on the invitation of the Scottish Cross-Party Group for Tibet.

While in England and Scotland, the Tibetan parliamentarian will be joined by Mr. Sonam Frasi, the London-base member of Tibetan Parliament-in-exile representing Tibetans living in Europe. Mr Sonam Frasi has been involved in the organisation of this educational tour of Tibetan parliamentarians to London and Edinburgh.

The Office of Tibet, London and The Tibetan Community in Britain will jointly host a reception for the visiting Tibetan Parliamentarians on 23 October. During the reception, members of the Tibetan community in Britain will have the opportunity to ask questions to the visiting parliamentarians.
