Dharamshala July 10 – His Holiness the Dalai Lama has expressed shock and sadness over he recent terrorist attacks on London. In a message sent to the British prime minister Tony Blair, His Holiness the Dalai Lama wrote, “At this time of tragedy I want to express my deep sense of sadness and solidarity with the people of Great Britain. My prayers are especially with the families who have lost their loved ones and the many who have been injured.”
His Holiness described the incidents of blasts as ‘extremely sad and unfortunate’. “While we condemn such acts of senseless violence, where generally the innocent people suffer, we must look at the root cause of these and try to address them. It is not sufficient to simply counter terrorism by physical action alone,” His Holiness further wrote.
