Dharamsala, July 4 – Nepal’s two Tibetan schools got a hefty pat on their backs from the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration for their wondrous showing in this year’s class X exams.
The Namgyal Higher Secondary School (NHSS) bagged 100 percent and the Songtsen Birikuti Boarding School (SBBS) 89.65 percent results against the backdrop of Nepal’s 38.72 overall pass percentage in the class X exams this year.
The Education Department, in a missive to the schools, lavished the proverbial “confetti of laurels” for their outstanding performance characterised as the fruition of collective efforts of all involved, adding that the schools should seek to excel not only in the outer exam results but also in the inner knowledge of the students.
Of the total 18 students of NHSS who appeared for the class X exams, one fared in first and 17 in second division with no failure, and of the total 45 students of SBBS, five passed in first and 20 in second division with 3 compartments and no failures.
