His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived here after successfully completing his tour of Sweden, Norway and Germany. His Holiness will begin teaching on Lamrin Shedrak on 24 June. The teaching which will be held at the Tsuglakhang main temple will go on till 3 July.
His Holiness will attend his 70th Birthday celebrations to be held at the Tsuglakhang courtyard on July 6. The Tibetan exile government will hold an official function on the day to express its gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama for his leadership. His Holiness the Dalai Lama usually does not take part in the official celebration of his birthday. There will be a three-day celebration of His Holiness’ birthday at the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts on 6,7 and 8 July.
There will be another teaching of His Holiness from 12 July to 21 July. The topic of the teaching has not been decided yet. The request for the teaching came from a Taiwanese group.
