Canadian PM urged to lead on Tibet
Three Canadian Parliamentarian has written a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper urging him to make Tibet a priority in Canadian foreign policy, and to lead an international effort for Tibet. “We write to respectfully request that you make Tibet a priority for Canadian foreign policy this year, especially given the courageous protests taking place in Tibet and the Chinese government’s violent and massive repressions of Tibetan rights,”
‘So Many Socks’ in Dharamsala

Apple removes Tibetan book app.
The Apple Inc. has removed Hao Peiqiang’s app ‘Jingdian Shucheng’ which offers access to ten books via iPhone and iPad from the App Store. According to the Financial Times, Hao said he received a letter from Apple informing him that his software would be deleted from China’s App Store since it contained content deemed ‘illegal’ in China.
Dalai Lama portraits auctioned
The Buddhist Community Centre United Kingdom (BCCUK) has auctioned the two signed portraits of the Tibetan Spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama by the British figurative artist Lisa Andrew raising a total amount of £6200.
