Zurich: IOC – mute, blind and silent. More than 10000 people called on the IOC “not to betray the Olympic Charta and to stick to the promises given for the Beijing 2008 games”. The IOC however has remained mute, blind and silent about the situation in Tibet and China. It declared not to be responsible and is not prepared to receive the protest cards. The protest organised by Swiss and German Tibet support groups took place in front of the IOC headquarter in Lausanne on December 7, 2006.
