Demonstrators are planning to picket the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in protest at a performance by the People’s Liberation Army of China.

Google – Yahoo market battle threatens freedom of expression

Reporters Without Borders today deplored the “irresponsible” policies of major US Internet firms Yahoo ! and Google in bowing directly and indirectly to Chinese government demands for censorship and called for a code of conduct to be imposed.

Dalai Lama ‘welcome’ to Tibet sans privileges

The government of Tibet says that if the Dalai Lama accepts the preconditions set by the Chinese government and returns to Tibet, it will make “good arrangements” for him but he should not expect any special privileges because he has done “no good” for his country during the 45 years that he has been away from it.
